Terms of Service
Last updated 5 Aug 2026
These terms govern your use of Niyam. By creating an account or using the service, you agree to them. Please read them alongside our Privacy Policy. Niyam is built for salaried individuals in India and is a working title for a product still in development.
What Niyam does
Niyam reads public regulatory notifications from bodies such as the CBDT, EPFO, RBI and the Gazette of India, matches them against the profile you provide, and tells you which changes affect you and what to do about them. It is an information service.
Educational information, not advice
Niyam provides general, educational information only. It does not provide individualised investment, tax, legal or accounting advice, and nothing in the service is a recommendation to buy, sell or hold any security, scheme or financial product. Niyam is not a SEBI-registered investment adviser, a stockbroker, or a tax professional. Figures and impacts are illustrative estimates, not assurances. For guidance specific to your situation, please consult a SEBI-registered investment adviser, a chartered accountant, or another qualified professional.
No products, no commissions
Niyam does not sell any financial product and earns no commission, brokerage, referral fee or other incentive from any bank, mutual fund, insurer, broker or other provider. We have no financial interest in steering you toward any product, scheme or institution; our stance is fee-only and independent.
Estimates and accuracy
Rupee amounts, deadlines and impacts shown in the service are estimates computed from the information you give us and from published rules, which can change or be interpreted differently. They may be incomplete, out of date, or wrong. Always verify against the official notification, which we link to, and against your own records, and confirm with the relevant authority or a professional before you act or file.
Your responsibilities
You are responsible for keeping your profile accurate, for your own financial decisions, and for meeting your own obligations to the tax authorities and other regulators. You agree to use the service only for lawful, personal purposes.
Limitation of liability
The service is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis, without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied. To the fullest extent permitted by law, Niyam, its team and its partners will not be liable for any loss or damage - including any financial loss, tax, penalty or lost opportunity - arising from your use of, or reliance on, the information in the service.
Changes and termination
We may change, suspend or withdraw the service and update these terms as the product develops or the law requires. If we make a significant change we will try to signal it in the app. You can stop using the service and delete your account at any time from Profile. Continued use after a change means you accept the updated terms.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of India, and the courts of Bengaluru, Karnataka have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute, subject to any rights you have under applicable law.
